The STREAMS Student Version  

A free STREAMS Student version is available. This version is restricted to models with at most 12 manifest variables but in every other respect it is identical to the full program, and it comes with complete documentation. The STREAMS Student version may be used, for example, in combination with the LISREL Student version, which also allows models with 12 manifest variables. These freely available programs are sufficient for the needs of many research projects, and they are ideal for teaching and learning SEM.

Installing the STREAMS Student version

Follow the steps below to download and install the STREAMS Student version:

1. Download the file s30_student.exe through clicking here. After the download is completed, click the browser Back button twice to return here.

2. Uninstall any previous version of STREAMS.

3. Double-click the s30_student.exe file, which starts the installation process.

4. Follow the directions of the installation program and go through all the steps.

5. If you don't have any SEM program you may want to download and install trial/demo versions of EQS, LISREL and/or Mplus.

6. Start STREAMS and, if necessary, connect STREAMS and the SEM programs using the techniques described in the  STREAMS 3 Quick Start Guide.
